Date of birth and address book entries

hi,

there is a problem for additional shipping addresses. for me, when I don't specify them directly at checkout, I can't create them at all. I always get the message: date of birth is not a date. this also prevents me from editing addresses I added at checkout. same error. tomcat says "unparsable date" and yes, it is. I think the date generated should be the current one ... the one tomcat displayed had the correct day and year but complete nonsense for the month (so today would be: 29/56/2007 ...).

what can I do about that?

thanks in advance,
anni

I'm not sure how you are getting this message. Could you please reproduce it on our online demo and then post the steps you took so that we can investigate further.

For the weight problem of your previous post, are you sure that you don't have multiples of products in your basket ?

Thx,

Trevor

hi trevor,

I'll try if the dates problem also occurs in your demo version. for the products, yes, I'm sure that there's only one of each in my cart.
I'll let you know if the online demo did the same as my version.

hi,

I didn't get any error in the online demo.  :-\ so I'm quite unsure why this happens in my version. my problem sometimes (!!!) also happens when I try to register a new customer. btw I set the birth date required to false in the admin app. changed it back today to see if that's the problem but it didn't change anything.

it's so confusing! at the moment I CAN insert new addresses without the error message. might be a random problem with my installation. on the other hand, after I've changed the primary address, my account address isn't displayed anymore so I can't change it back! that doesn't happen in the demo version either  ...  :(

... and I just had a look at the customers in the admin app. the dates for "last logon" are completely messed (at least the months) and the address for the user I've used for testing has been replaced by the one I set as new primary address.  ???

what's happening here???

Anni

every other date is also messed up (e.g. the availability dates for products) and it's always the month. when I try to reset it, it doesn't work and just selects a much to high value. months of birth seem to be set to january ...
