Duplicate images

Are the duplicate images in konakart really necessary?
I'm a bit confused as to why they exist.

Eg: in konakart/de_DE/buttons/

button_back.gif
button_confirm_order.gif
button_continue.gif
button_login.gif
button_update.gif

Which also appear in konakart\webapps\konakart\images\de_DE\buttons. The same exists for en_GB and es_ES.

Would it be simpler and tidier to remove such duplicates?

Hi Clinton,

Thanks for pointing out these things;   you're really keeping us on our toes here :-)

In this case a decision was made to ship the images in two places as one set is used in the GWT part of the client, and the other set by the JSPs.  Although it's true that some of the images are duplicated, the two sets are different sizes and it was considered a little easier to keep them seperate, at least for now.  (The cost in extra disk space is very small so hopefully this is not a problem).
