Unusual: www in address works in IE, without www works in Firefox!

We have an unusual problem with our shop.

www.domain.com/shop works in IE, but domain.com/shop doesn't.

Meanwhile, domain.com/shop works in Firefox, but www.domain.com/shop doesn't!

IE needs the www, Firefox needs no www.

Any ideas?

http://www.domain.com/shop works for me in IE, FF and Chrome although it seems to redirect back to http://www.domain.com in all cases.

Does the question have anything to do with KonaKart ? I couldn't find "Powered By KonaKart" anywhere, which is part of our licensing agreement for the community version.

Sorry, that wasn't the real domain name. Our client plans to purchase an enterprise license but isn't yet ready to release the shop to the public!

Hmmm... the session ID cookie also contains a different session ID value each time a request goes to the server. Server configuration issue?
