Thank you for your quick reply!

Both are....
   # KonaKart Version Information
   konakart.version    = 2.2.4.0
   konakart.build.date = 11:00AM 18-Mar-2008 GMT

We are setting up two shops.

One sends like this and cuts the i18n:
   MIME-Version: 1.0
   Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
   Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit

The other is OK and sends like this:
   MIME-Version: 1.0
   Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8
   Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64

Does anybody remember which file creates the mail header for a quick fix?
Thank you
Costis

Hello everybody!
it seems to me that this FF-bug is becoming persistent. A couple of months have passed and we still have the same problem, with FF3.0.3 this time, and no beta's.

Maybe we should consider a work-around this bug. It is important to have a correct first page for the administrator, through the most popular browser (...  ;) speaking for my friends).

Thank you! This is exactly the file we needed!
2 beers for you!

Yes! This is what i'm trying to do, but the konakartadmin of shop7 gives me the relative pathname and the error....

37
Yes! It is at the konakartadmin-->Configuration-->Edit Config Files!
We are setting-up an application that creates a group of shops, that operate
under a common portal. We change the ports to have them work simultaneously.
We had 6 separate shops so far, and now we create the seventh and are getting
the relative path with the error message, so we can not configure the shop correctly.
Where is a definition of the path to the property-files? The file exists, is correct and has the correct
permissions.

suseserver:/var/lib/wwwrun # find . -name konakart.properties -print
./shop7/custom/onepagecheckout/src/konakart.properties
./shop7/webapps/konakart/WEB-INF/classes/konakart.properties
./shop5/custom/onepagecheckout/src/konakart.properties
./shop5/webapps/konakart/WEB-INF/classes/konakart.properties
./shop3/custom/onepagecheckout/src/konakart.properties
./shop3/webapps/konakart/WEB-INF/classes/konakart.properties
./shop4/custom/onepagecheckout/src/konakart.properties
./shop4/webapps/konakart/WEB-INF/classes/konakart.properties
./shop1/custom/onepagecheckout/src/konakart.properties
./shop1/webapps/konakart/WEB-INF/classes/konakart.properties
./shop2/custom/onepagecheckout/src/konakart.properties
./shop2/webapps/konakart/WEB-INF/classes/konakart.properties
./shop6/custom/onepagecheckout/src/konakart.properties
suseserver:/var/lib/wwwrun #

Thanx

The shop we just created that uses the relative path-name, gives us an error-message:
"../webapps/konakart/WEB-INF/classes/konakart.properties does not exist"

The older shop uses a full path name instead and finds the properties files.

How could we make the new shop use a full-path-name for properties and work correctly.

We used the KonakartInstall program.

Hope i explained the problem correctly this time...

Thanx

../webapps/konakart/WEB-INF/classes/konakart.properties does not exist on the second shop and

/var/lib/wwwrun/shop2/webapps/konakart/WEB-INF/classes/konakart.properties on the other!

Why does the first site not use a full-path name?

Thanx

Hello everybody!
Question 1:
What is the use of the jsp_osc directory? So far we have been only using the jsp.
       webapps/konakart/WEB-INF/jsp_osc/HomePageBody.jsp
       webapps/konakart/WEB-INF/jsp/HomePageBody.jsp

Question 2:
We want to have a bilingual introduction page. The contents should change according to the language selected.
What is the best way to do it? Wouldn't it be easier to have the intro text in the database?

Thanx

You made my day !!! Thank very much both of you for your time !!! Looks like we are getting rid of our question marks !!!
Now we have only exclamation marks, but this time on purpose !!! "Ελληνικό" means just Greek so don't worry  ;D

I'll have to learn Chinese to tell you about the second phrase !!!

Greetings

Imported the database from the working Windows installation to the SUSE system. Greek characters went through to the customers-panel, but again, saving turned them to question marks. All settings are all identical.

A mickey mouse program to connect via jdbc to the database works correctly.

Hi Pete!
have a nice morning!! We've been checking everything so far. We do have one question....
is it preferable to use InnoDB or mySQL? Does it make any difference for Konakart?
44
Hi Pete!
We do use both SUSE and Win-XP-SP2. SUSE will be our final target.
We face this problem on both OS's. We have only one correct working shop
right now, and this is on a Win system.

When we write greek into the customers table, with phpMyAdmin, and load the customer's data
to either konakartadmin or konakart, the Greek utf8 letters appear on screen, but as soon as we
edit the data and save they turn to question marks..... King Midas must have had a similar feeling.... :'(

45
but then again on my system Verrueckt nach Mary comes with a Question Mark,
while on konakart-demo site it is OK.........

Help needed!
