Title: Set Language Problem
Post by: michaelwechner on May 11, 2010, 03:22:17 pm
Hi

I have installed Konakart

Version Number : 4.2.0.1-C (built 3:47PM 18-Jan-2010 GMT)

on Mac OS X Snow Leopard running PostgreSQL 8.4 and the setup went very fine so far and I am able to login to
the admin interface

http://localhost:8780/konakartadmin

but then I tried to switch the display language to german and this does not work
(one receives the layover, but when clicking on save nothing happens)

Any idea what might be wrong?

Btw, where can I find more information on i18n customization?
(I tried to find something within http://www.konakart.com/documentation/online-documentation but no luck so far)

Thanks

Michael

Hi Michael,

The Set Language feature there is for dynamically-changing the language that the Admin App is shown in.  It's a feature only available in the Enterprise Extensions version.

However, you can define any language you like in the message properties files...

Hi

I have installed now the Enterprise edition of 4.2.0.1 and I am now able to switch to german, but
all special characters (e.g. ö, ü, ä) do not show up properly, whereas my Linux server is actually using the following locale:

ocale
LANG=de_CH.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE="de_CH.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="de_CH.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="de_CH.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="de_CH.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="de_CH.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES="de_CH.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="de_CH.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="de_CH.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="de_CH.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="de_CH.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="de_CH.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="de_CH.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=

and also my browser should be fine.

Any idea what might be wrong?

Thanks

Michael
