What is the Zip installation package for?
« on: January 18, 2007, 03:20:36 AM »
I see that there is a Windows Setup, a Linux/UNIX Setup and a Zip.   What is the Zip for?
Thanks for your help,
Mags

The zip is provided only for users who wish to install KonaKart manually or on hardware and/or software platforms not directly supported by the two wizard-based installers.

The zip contains the same files as the Windows & Linux/Unix Setup executables but these do need to be configured manually to get KonaKart to work.   (KonaKart is a java-based system so it should be possible to get it to work on a wide variety of platforms where java is supported).

You are, however, strongly advised to use one of the two wizard-based installers because these will configure all the configuration files for you automatically.

Good luck, and let us know if you run into any problems.
