Reports file encoding
« on: March 29, 2011, 02:58:27 AM »
Hi.
I have several instances of KK installed under different OSes (win an Linux).
I need to translate existing reports and to add some new. When I modify existing reports in KK windows (using built-in editor) everything works just fine. But when I copy edited files to Linux Cyrillic symbols break. I tried to change *.rtpdesign files encoding to UTF-8 but it didn’t work on windows.
Is there any way to configure BIRT to work with UTF-8 files (cause I want to have the same report files set on any OS)?

Perhaps you might try the BIRT forums?

This might help a little:   http://www.birt-exchange.org/org/wiki/index.php?title=BIRT:Internationalization

I'll take a look.
It seems to me, that i will need to localize reports (not just to change default *rptdesign files)  :)

Thanks for the reply
