HTTP error 500

Hi

we have just installed Maximo V7 and are using BIRT as the reporting tool.
we can create the reports in BIRT but when we try to preview them we get the error below.

HTTP ERROR: 500
Unable to compile class for JSP
RequestURI=/viewer/run

can anyone help.
