We have joined forces with dotCMS to produce a dotCMS / KonaKart integration module.
dotCMS is an enterprise-grade web content management system that is java based and open source. “dotCMS has dissolved the technical issues that have long slowed the pace of website change, allowing organizations to move ideas to market in days, not weeks”.
The purpose of the module that was developed was to demonstrate how the eCommerce / shopping cart functionality of KonaKart can be integrated into a dotCMS application and give you a huge head start in the development of your own eCommerce-enabled CMS.
The alternative approach of implementing the integration of KonaKart and dotCMS by using the KonaKart APIs is fast-becoming the preferred approach. This particular approach gives complete freedom in designing a custom storefront that remains compatible with future versions of KonaKart.
